Williams: best result of the year in Germany

Nico Rosberg gave Williams their best result of the 2009 season with fourth place achieved today at the Nurburgring, in the German Grand Prix. His teammate, Kazuki Nakajima finished in 12th position.

Nico Rossberg:
"It was a fantastic result for us. I started 15th, honestly I didn't expect much but I took advantage of some opportunities on the first lap and finished it in ninth position! Even though I had more fuel than everyone else, I continued to push and that, together with a bit of luck and Heikki Kovalainen creating some traffic behind me, definitely helped me. I also had a problem with the fuel system, so it was a busy race and the outcome of the race is even more satisfactory. We are continually progressing with the car, our development looks good and our pace is growing. I can't wait to get to Hungary, because I think it will be another race where we can aspire to a good result."

Kazuki Nakajima:
"My race was defined on the first lap. I was hit by Jarno Trulli and I almost went out, ending up at the back of the group. It's a shame because my race was ruined there. However, I think that our If our pace was good today, it would certainly have brought us close to the points. Our strategy would have worked well, but all that doesn't count now."
