Williams: Top Ten goal in Brazil

Williams leaves for the Brazilian GP with the aim of qualifying both cars in the top ten in order to aspire to obtain the greatest number of points available and overtake Force India in sixth place in the constructors' standings.

Sam Michael, technical director of the English team: “The Brazilian Grand Prix has produced some excellent racing in recent years, in both dry and wet conditions. Interlagos is a fantastic circuit, it requires a lot of downforce and great aerodynamic efficiency which is important for the straights. Our objective for the race is clear: to qualify both cars in the top ten and improve our position in the constructors' championship."

Barrichello, who plays at home in Interlagos, is also enthusiastic about the trip: “This is my favorite match. I like the city, the people, the attitude of the fans. The track is in turns six and seven one of the most beautiful points of the world championship. There are several points to pass and the rain can make things interesting. Achieving a good balance of the car and the result of qualifying will be very important for the final result. I will have a new engine and the Williams should adapt well to the circuit, we'll see."

Niko Hulkenberg, on the other hand, will ride for the first time on the Brazilian track and will be very determined to obtain important points to try to secure his seat in Williams for next season. Niko: “I've never been to Brazil before, it's a new circuit for me, like others this season, and it's also one of the few tracks where you turn anti-clockwise. The track looks difficult but interesting, I'm looking forward to driving in the S Senna and in turns 6 and 7. We will try to get a good haul of points in this race."
