Williams: Hulkenberg and Barrichello hoped for better qualifying in Bahrain

Rubens Barrichello said Williams hoped to gain better grid positions ahead of tomorrow's Bahrain Grand Prix. Today in qualifying the Brazilian achieved 11th position while his teammate, Nico Hulkenberg, will start 13th.

"I think Williams did well today, not as well as we would have liked but we had some problems and lost some time yesterday" commented Barrichello. Which means we had to get it back this morning. But overall our direction is positive, we have a good understanding and I feel good trust in the team. We almost got into Q3, I was just a little bit behind Jenson, so it wasn't too bad and for sure some new tires for tomorrow, which will help."

"I was hoping to achieve more in my first qualifying, but the car wasn't perfect and I wasn't able to put together a good lap" commented Hulkenberg. "This combination cost us a lot and as a result we didn't get into Q3. It's probably not worth making any assumptions about tomorrow's race, the only thing I can say is that it will undoubtedly be tough for everyone and I believe that the The key will be to manage the tires well."
