Williams, disappointing day for Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa

Disappointing day for Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas in Budapest. Despite the good conditions at the start of the race, in fact, Williams Martini Racing was unable to achieve a good placing during this tenth round of the world championship, not collecting any points for the constructors' classification. After a fairly positive start to the race, Valtteri suffered a bad puncture which completely ruined his race. A different story however for Felipe Massa, author of an excellent first part of the race on soft tyres. Performance subsequently dropped with the harder tires and this heavily compromised the final result.

Here are the words of Felipe Massa: “It was a very difficult day for us. We had an excellent start but our pace with the mediums wasn't great, not to mention the heavy traffic we continually found ourselves in front of. It was a completely uphill race and we are absolutely not satisfied. The points lost today were a huge blow to the world championship standings, especially due to our fight with Scuderia Ferrari, but we can make up for it immediately in Spa."

Here are Valtteri Bottas' impressions: “We didn't score any points and it must be said that it was a disappointing day. We had a good start and in the very first laps we were in line with our expectations, then something didn't work properly and we found ourselves behind with the medium tyres. The puncture also made things even more complicated and from then on it was a constant struggle with the car. It's important now to recharge the batteries and present ourselves at our best for the Spa event, a much more favorable track for our single-seater."
