Williams, Bruno Senna: “The evolution of the track took us a bit by surprise”

The Williams team struggled in qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix at the Montreal circuit. Senna is 16th after suffering grip problems, while his teammate, Pastor Maldonado, is 17th after crashing into the barriers.

Bruno Senna – 16: It was a promising Q1 and I managed to put some good laps together, but the evolution of the track caught us a bit by surprise and so there was no grip in Q2. It's frustrating to be back in position 16, but we learned a lot today and I'm sure we will be stronger in tomorrow's race because the car has worked well so far.

Pastor Maldonado – 17: On my last lap I took too much of a curb and ended up hitting the wall, which is disappointing because I was on a good lap which should have put me into Q3. The car was good and we have good race pace, so we will have a good chance of making up some positions tomorrow.
