Williams, Bottas: “Satisfactory qualifying”
At Hockenheim the Grove team achieved the top ten with both cars
In qualifying for the German Grand Prix, Williams achieved a top ten finish with both cars. The fastest driver of the Grove team was Valtteri Bottas, who took the eighth fastest time. The Finn distanced himself from teammate Felipe Massa by 85 thousandths. Tomorrow the Brazilian will start from the tenth spot.
"It was a very consistent qualification on our part – declared Bottas – As expected we were all close, but the balance of the car was good and we managed to make the tires work well. We lacked a bit of grip compared to the cars that preceded us. I think we made the most of it for today. On my lap in Q3 I encountered some traffic which cost me a couple of cents. I could have obtained the seventh time, nevertheless I am quite satisfied with my qualifying".
"I would say it was a very competitive qualifying, we battled with Force India – Massa's comment – I'm very happy with my lap, it's a shame I lost a tenth on the final lap due to a mistake at turn 12. Tomorrow I'll try to do my best in the race".
