Wehrlein: “I hope to be back in the car soon”

Pascal Wehrlein can't wait to get back behind the wheel of a Formula One car. The Mercedes German, at the end of the second pre-season test session on the Montmelò track, said he was very satisfied with the work carried out with the Force India team, explaining that the kilometers traveled on the track allowed him to learn numerous secrets about these new hybrid turbo single-seaters. The current third Mercedes driver is confident of returning to the car soon, perhaps with Vijay Mallya's Scuderia.

Here are the German words: “When you get into a car that's different from the one you're used to, everything feels new, from how you feel the car to the buttons on the steering wheel, up to the conversations with the engineers. Having tried on Thursday helped me: I really learned in these two days and I'm satisfied with my work."

“The team helped me get into the role: everyone welcomed me from the start and this made it very easy for me to work. We concentrated on the set-up and also managed to do longer runs. I look forward to more opportunities in the future” he concluded.
