Wehrlein ready to stay at Manor

He's in no hurry pascal wehrlein. The German's goal continues to be to one day land at Mercedes, but with the awareness of having to do things calmly and wait for his moment.

If his debut in Manor was rather "traumatic" with a series of results that were not too exciting for a young talent like him, the continuation of his career will be based on long-term projects.

“I know that Lewis and Nico's contracts will expire in 2018 – he told Sport Bild – there is no plan, except to always show my performances. For example, if my moment comes after two years at the Manor it would be very good, because it would mean that I have won an important challenge to help the team."

However, the German does not want to close any doors, open to any type of change: "In the same way, if I were to change teams with Mercedes support and be paired with a more experienced teammate I would have a good chance of getting a place in the future."

The 21-year-old also said he was satisfied with his performances in recent races and his comparison with the newcomer Esteban Ocon: “He hasn't done better than me so far and he is generally rated really highly, which is obviously a good thing for me.”
