Webber takes it out on the mirrors
di 17 May, 2010
A bold Mark Webber spoke to journalists after his triumph at the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Australian driver said that yesterday could have been his third victory of the season.
Webber actually blamed the mirrors! After the Malaysian Grand Prix, in fact, the FIA had forced the teams to adopt mirrors attached directly to the body and not to the wing appendages.
Webber, speaking to Martin Brundle, former driver and BBC commentator, said: "If I had had the modified mirrors I would certainly have won in Malaysia too".
In fact, at Sepang the Australian started from pole position but was overtaken at the start by teammate Vettel who then went on to win. Webber had not seen the German pilot on that occasion.
