Webber: “F1 is in crisis”
The Australian was critical of the new regulation and suitcases
Fresh from a third place with Porsche at the 6 Hours of Bahrain, the penultimate round of the WEC season, Mark Webber he goes back to talking about the Circus without sparing decisive comments on the state of confusion he is experiencing.
“In my opinion we are facing a moment of strong crisis in F1. Look what the new regulation has produced. The races no longer exist. If someone like Raikkonen could drive at the limit by now he would be there in front putting in fast laps and instead he finds himself in a frustrating situation – argued the Australian to the Salzburger Nachrichten – By now the single-seaters seem like GP2s that are slightly more powerful, not to mention the the embarrassing use of the DRS, the importance assigned to the tires which forces for unknown reasons to make numerous pit stops and the flood of paying drivers who take away the places from the deserving ones”.
