Virgin: record among new teams in Türkiye

“It was a tough race for the team today and it was great for us to get both cars to the finish line and thus get rewarded for the hard work this weekend. The start was disappointing for me because I was passed by Senna. I was stuck behind him for the first 18 laps and I couldn't get close to try to overtake but then I managed to do it at turn 12. From then on I went faster and had a good race. We had a good stop and with the options the car worked well. Unfortunately, with five laps to go I had a technical problem but I still managed to continue to the end.”

“We had a lot of problems during this weekend, especially regarding the engine, but we achieved our goal of getting both cars to the finish line and ends the weekend with us as the best of the new teams. We have shown once again that our reliability has improved and what we need to do now is focus on improving the speed of the car and being the best new team in every race.”
