Virgin: The drivers' comments after qualifying in Istanbul

“After a difficult day yesterday, we really managed to turn things around for us overnight and because of that we were able to have a much stronger day today. The difference in the car from yesterday was like night and day and so I have to thank the team for that. The car performed well in free practice this morning and I was very motivated ahead of qualifying, because it's nice to know that you have a car that will give you the chance to beat the immediate competition. I had a great second lap and felt I could do better on my last lap but unfortunately I made a mistake in the first sector, however I am happy with the car ahead of the race.”

“Despite the improvements we made with the set up overnight, today was very frustrating for me, we had a problem with the engine. Timo was able to demonstrate the true potential of the package and so I'm disappointed to be so far away due to the engine. I hope we can look forward to something more representative tomorrow and have a good race, because I believe we can have a good day.”
