Virgin: Several technical problems in qualifying at Hockenheim

Timo Glock – Pos 20:
“A very disappointing day after a promising start. The gearbox problem this morning was very frustrating as it cost us the end of the session. The guys did a fantastic job to get the car ready in time for qualifying, although after the first few laps we had a problem with the rear brakes and thought we'd take a risk. It's a shame because we were fighting on equal terms with the Lotus and we could have even finished ahead of them. A real disappointment.”

Lucas di Grassi – Pos 24:
“It was a very frustrating day for me and the team because we did well in free practice and I think we could have done a great job in qualifying too. But we had a problem with the alternator and a problem with the gearbox which prevented me from qualifying. We will do our best tomorrow, hoping to finish better than the other new teams.”
