Virgin: di Grassi beats Glock in qualifying in Valencia

Lucas di Grassi – Pos 21:
“I am very satisfied to be the fastest Virgin driver today. This is my debut year in F1 and I am learning a lot at each Grand Prix. I'm getting closer to Timo's times and I'm often able to keep up with more experienced colleagues. Your teammate is always the closest comparison but we're not fighting against each other – we're working together to make Virgin a competitive team. We have a lot of work to do to improve the car and our pace.”

Timo Glock – Pos 22:
“Unfortunately we made the wrong decision regarding the tires today. We thought things would be fixed with the option tires by making a small change to the set-up, but with the Primes I was definitely faster. Unfortunately I made a mistake exiting the last corner and lost about 0,5 sec, otherwise I would have been faster than Lucas and closer to the Lotus. now we have to look at the opportunities that may arise in tomorrow's race.”
