Virgin: D'Ambrosio and Glock at the finish line in Melbourne

A good result for Virgin who managed to bring both cars to the finish line in the Australian Grand Prix, the first of the 2011 Formula 1 season.

Jérôme D'Ambrosio – Pos 16:
“I'm really happy to have finished my first Formula One Grand Prix. I started really well and felt comfortable in the car, although I think I could have gone a little faster at the end of the race. But the important thing is that we completed the race and this will give me a lot of experience which will be useful for the next races. I would like to thank the team for their fantastic work throughout the weekend. We have had a very productive period and we will continue like this until the next race in Malaysia, where hopefully, we will start to progress. ”

Timo Glock – Pos 17:
“I think we had good speed in the race. I was behind Jarno Trulli, then I caught up with him and passed him at the pit stop. Unfortunately at the pit stop the left front wheel gave rise to problems and I had to drive very slowly for one lap, before returning to the pits. I managed to resume the race. For a couple of laps everything was fine but then the car had quite a bit of vibration, so I tried to concentrate on finishing the race. In the end it was a bit disappointing, but at least we showed good reliability and brought both cars to the finish line.”
