Vettel: “If there is a chance to attack the Mercedes we will try”

Hag – The two SF15-Ts will start from second and fourth position Sebastian VetteKimi Raikkonen on the starting grid of the Bahrain Grand Prix. At the end of the qualifying session held today on the Al Sakhir circuit, with a mild temperature of 25 degrees, pole position went to Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes, with a time of 1.32.571. Vettel confirmed himself on the front row with a time of 1.32.982, ahead of Nico Rosberg's Mercedes (1.33.129). Fourth time and second row for Raikkonen, with a time of 1.33.227.

Sebastian Vettel: “In the end it is a great result for us to have managed to separate the Mercedes on the grid. Once again we seem to have gotten closer, but then this weekend everyone seems closer in timing. We hope to take another step forward tomorrow. At the beginning of qualifying I wasn't fully satisfied, but then things gradually improved. The last lap was very important and we managed to get everything right. Now I'm not able to say if we can win the race tomorrow. Let's not forget that we are only at the fourth Grand Prix of the season: so far we are very happy with our competitiveness. We will proceed one step at a time and try to have the best race possible. And if that means putting Mercedes under pressure, we will do it. In general we have to think above all about ourselves: if there is the possibility of attacking them we will try."
