Vettel worried about the continuous search for a spectacular Formula 1

Sebastian Vettel has expressed concern about the growing quest for spectacle in F1. The reigning world champion is referring both to the introduction of the mobile rear wing and to Pirelli's intention to supply tires that increase the number of pit stops, through the supply of less durable tyres.

The German told Der Spiegel: “Formula 1 is becoming more radical, with more and more focus on spectacle. I wonder if this is necessary.”
Fernando Alonso some years ago declared, controversially, that F1 "is not a sport". Now, through the newspaper AS, he clarifies: “There is too much business to be a sport, and too much sport to be just a business. But it is not purely and simply a sport, because there are too many interests at stake.”
There are complaints in the paddock that the simultaneous return of KERS poses absurd tasks for riders.
Vettel stated that: “If a critical point has been reached, then we will sit around the table and discuss it. It's about our safety."
One concern is the clear delay between pressing the button and the time it takes for the rear wing to return to position before braking.
Observers present in Jerez report that some riders had difficulty in the more demanding braking at the end of the straights.
