Vettel: "Now we have to finish the race"

Sebastian Vettel hopes to be able to capitalize on his second consecutive pole after the problems he suffered in Bahrain. The German was the fastest in qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix today and tomorrow he will be joined on the front row by his teammate Mark Webber.

"I think the main thing is to finish, to see the checkered flag this time," said Vettel, who retired last year after a collision with Robert Kubica. "Last year we were very close, there were only a couple of laps left. Now we have an idea of ​​what will happen on Sunday, everyone will start with a lot of fuel. There will be more bouncing and the car will be more difficult to control. It will be a long race" explained Vettel.

"I think it's obviously a great result for both of us and for our team. It's Mark's home race, it's a bit funny because last year he took pole in Germany so it's a sort of revenge I think we made a good step forward in qualifying and the car is still improving, in the last session the question was the rain. I think I lost a bit of time in the last corner but it was a really good lap. I'm very happy and the result says it all. I can't wait to race tomorrow, it's nice to start from the front. We don't know how tomorrow will go, a lot of things happen at Albert Park, safety car or not, but it's nice start in front. I'm happy."
