Vettel: Headache but no trauma after the accident

Sebastian Vettel suffered a headache but no trauma after the bad accident in Friday's free practice for the Turkish F1 GP. The 23-year-old German missed the second session at Istanbul Park while his Red Bull mechanics repaired extensive damage to the car sustained in the impact.

But the fact that there was actually little activity in his garage at the start of the session led many journalists to think that the world championship leader had actually been affected by the accident at Turn 8.

Physiotherapist Tommi Parmakoski told the Turun Sanomat newspaper that it was Vettel's worst accident. The German was visited at the medical center after the 5,7 G impact.

“We suspected a concussion but fortunately that wasn't the case,” explained Parmakoski. “Sebastian is fine and he just had a headache” he added.
