Vettel: “The fight for the title? It's not over yet"

Mercedes supremacy, Nico Rosberg's state of grace and Lewis Hamilton's desire for the limelight have not dashed the hopes of Sebastian Vettel who is currently fifth overall with 33 points against the German leader's 100 and still believes in the world championship.

“We have only played four races out of twenty-one and I don't seem to remember anyone already champion after so few rounds” – he joked, speaking to Sport Bild.

“From here on out we just need to stay calm, not be influenced by positive or negative events, be patient and work together – continued the German – My goal always remains to bring the Cavallino to the title and I absolutely do not feel like excluding this year. To do so would be wrong. The only target remains that of growth”.

“When I moved to Maranello I dreamed of building a new team and that's what I still want. However, I never thought I would do it in just one season” – remarked the 2010-2013 champion.
