Vettel: “I asked too much of the car entering the corner”

Sebastian Vettel he declared that he was too greedy in driving his car during free practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The driver hit the wall at Turn 1 after losing the rear of his car, damaging the front wing.

Vettel managed to get back on track, finishing in sixth position in the afternoon session.

“I lost the car at the entrance to the bend. I went too wide and went too far over the curb and I lost the rear and couldn't recover my car."

“I was lucky to be able to continue testing after that, and there wasn't much damage on the car, which is good.”

“I was simply too greedy, I demanded too much entering the corner. If you go a little further there is too little grip, where the track has less rubber."

Mark Webber he was fifth fastest in this free practice session.

“It was a good evening for us, we have all the necessary data and everything went according to plan. Now we will check them."

“Everything is going quite well, I feel quite happy with the car and I have a good feeling. We still have to fix something to get the best in the single lap."
