Vettel: “Many thanks to the whole team”

Hag praises the team for the great comeback in the United States Grand Prix.

Sebastian Vettel: “Yes, today we tried to ruin Lewis' party... In the end, perhaps, I should have risked more with Nico, but it wasn't possible. It's a shame, but let's not forget where we started from this year. Today was another great race, a great comeback, and the car was fantastic. I don't think you can ask for more if you start from thirteenth position. A great first lap helped a lot and after that we had a good pace, especially when we switched to dry tires in mixed conditions. For a while it felt like we were flying, I was a couple of seconds a lap faster than everyone else. Maybe without the last safety car we could have won, but "ifs" and "buts" don't make history: it was a difficult race and we managed to manage it well. I can only say "thank you very much" to everyone, on the track and in the factory. While on the one hand we are happy, on the other it is not a good feeling to be out of the title fight. This gives us a push for next year, to really try to make progress. We hope to give our opponents more trouble."
