Vettel-Alonso: who will come out on top?

Here are the possible combinations to secure the 2012 World Cup

Vettel-Alonso: who will come out on top?

“Whatever happens, we will have to be proud of what we have done.”

When there are only a few hours left until the start of the last Grand Prix of the season, the Brazilian GP which will decide the fate of the 1 Formula 2012 World Championship, Fernando Alonso sums up a season in which he has been a protagonist and which overall can be considered positive, if you consider that this year's Ferrari was not at the same level of its direct rivals, McLaren and Red Bull, from a competitive point of view, with only the latter ultimately competing for the title with the red car from Maranello.

Sebastian Vettel and Alonso are 13 points behind, the Asturian will start from seventh position, the German from fourth and it won't be easy for the Ferrari driver to get through: just think that a fourth place is enough for the reigning world champion to reconfirm himself again this year, whatever the result obtained by Alonso.

For Nando, however, the situation is more complicated. To win his third world championship, in fact, he will have to win, hoping that Vettel reaches a maximum of fifth, place second and hope for an eighth place from his opponent, or finish the race third, as long as Seb does not manage to go beyond tenth position.

The Spaniard's task is difficult, but not impossible: rain is forecast at Interlagos and who knows whether Giove Pluvio may mix up the cards...
