Valencia hopes to return to F1 in 2014
We are working on alternating with Barcelona
di StaffDecember 4, 2012
Valencia hopes to return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2014. The Spanish city race, which recently hosted the European GP, has been dropped from the calendar for next season.
But it has been learned that the two Spanish circuits, Valencia and Barcelona, will host the Spanish GP on an annual basis.
Barcelona will host the race next year while Valencia could return in 2014.
Lola Johnson, Valencia's tourism minister, declared that the government "is working" on the possible alternation with Barcelona.
“The situation is on the table,” he told El Pais. “They are negotiating with the Formula 1 bosses and the two GP organizers. The alternation is based on the reorganization of contracts. We are working on the details."
