Long holidays for Raikkonen and Alonso

Although for totally different reasons, the incoming and outgoing world champion will spend a long period away from the cockpit of a Formula 1 car.

Kimi Raikkonen, after taking part in the Ferrari party last Sunday at Mugello, left for Finland to visit relatives and friends, making it known that he will not join the team for the mid-November tests scheduled in Spain : "I won't be there, but I will be back driving in the tests in December. I'm on holiday now. I want to try to relax as much as possible and recharge my batteries as much as possible."

Fernando Alonso, for his part, is in a totally different situation, as he is not at all certain of returning to the cockpit of a Formula 1 anytime soon, due to the well-known controversy that sees him "separated at home" with the McLaren team. As a consequence of this disagreement, which could lead to a contractual termination or a "freezing" period for the Spanish driver, the Spanish newspaper The sports world explicitly speaks of Alonso's exclusion from the testing program planned by McLaren for the development of the new MP4-23.
