USF1 confirms its presence in Bahrain

Sources close to the USF1 team have denied rumors that the new American team was absent for the first four grands prix.

According to what was reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Alcaniz-based team asked to make its debut in Barcelona, thus skipping the first four grands prix in Bahrain, Australia, Malaysia and China.

However, the first denials arrived on Sunday evening, confirming what Peter Windsor said last week.

The sporting director of USF1 had declared to the official F1 website: "we will certainly be present on the starting grid in Bahrain."

USF1 has announced that the Australian John Anderson (in the photo), well known within the ALMS, will be the new team manager.

It was later declared that the car performed "well" in the crash test which took place last week in England.
