A dissatisfied Ferrari prepares the reaction for Monza

In the aftermath of a negative Belgian Grand Prix for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, the predominant feeling in Maranello is dissatisfaction.

We arrived in Belgium with the expectation of continuing the trend of growth in performance that had begun in Valencia and which, from Hockenheim, had also materialized in the results but the Spa verdict - despite all the relevant considerations linked to factors exteriors, read weather conditions and accidents – it was negative, especially regarding the outcome of the race.

The usual debriefing on Monday morning, attended by President Luca di Montezemolo, was focused on analyzing the performance of the innovations introduced on the F10 and the reasons that prevented us from making the most of all the potential available. It can never be taken for granted that a new solution never tried before on the track will be immediately effective - we have already seen this several times this year, as all the teams know well - and the weather conditions as changeable as those which marked the free practice of the on Friday certainly did not make the technicians' task any easier. Also for this reason, as well as to test the aerodynamic configurations in view of the Italian Grand Prix, an aerodynamic test will take place on the Vairano straight in the next few days. After the debriefing, Montezemolo took stock of the situation with Team Principal Stefano Domenicali and spoke at length on the phone with both Felipe and Fernando.

The Monza event is upon us and if the Scuderia's home race alone represents something special, this year's edition will be very important for the hopes of fighting for the championships until the end. In Maranello there is the awareness that losing further ground could compromise the comeback attempt. There is therefore every reason to react immediately to the setback in Spa, both in the team and in the drivers: in Monza they want to return to fighting for a victory that has been missing on the Brianza circuit since 2006.
