Official: Ross Brawn new Honda team principal

The Honda Racing F1 Team is pleased to announce another significant signing. Ross Brawn will join Honda to take up the position of Team Principal with full responsibility for the design, production, engineering and operation of Honda's F1 cars. Ross will work alongside Nick Fry who will continue in the role of Chief Executive of the team.

“One of my main tasks over the last six months has been to attract new talent to the team,” added Nick Fry. “We have completed numerous engagements in the areas of aerodynamics, design, engineering, marketing and race team. Today's announcement of Ross Brawn's arrival in our team is a very satisfying conclusion to the process of updating and revitalizing a strong and determined team. Ross obviously needs no introduction. His experience in winning championships in F1 will be crucial and we aim to bring Honda back to the top, I am delighted to work together with him to achieve this”.

After his sabbatical this season Ross Brawn will start his new job at Honda on 26 November 2007.
