Everyone taking lessons from Sainz Jr.
The Toro Rosso driver spoke to the students of Roma Tre University
After the lessons held by the technicians Toro Rosso in the universities of Turin, Florence, Palermo and Padua, the grand finale of the Red Bull On Stage 2015 tour took place in Rome, at the Engineering Department of the University.
Exceptional professor Carlos Sainz Jr who spoke with the students about the current F1 season.
“Joining the team was like joining a big family – he declared – I owe a lot to this brand which believed in me since I was 15 years old, when I was still nobody. I hope to repay the trust in me with results and maybe one day with the championship."
Then when asked why he chose to look elsewhere than the rallies dear to his father, the young man from Madrid replied: “I tried a few times, but I didn't like it enough. My world was another. As a kid I used to wake up at 4am to watch the Australian GP. My idol was Alonso and when I met him, I understood that I would follow in his footsteps."
Finally, to those who reminded him that he is now ahead of the two-time champion McLaren in the standings, he commented pimpily: "I'm not stronger than him, maybe his engineers aren't as good as mine!".
