Toro Rosso, Vergne: “Positive day”
“We worked a lot and it was a positive day.”
He appears satisfied Jean-Eric Vergne at the end of the penultimate day of the free practice in Barcelona in which he covered a whopping 114 laps, finishing ninth.
“After the difficulties in cold and wet conditions in the previous days we recovered – explained the pilot Toro Rosso -. We are able to ignore the lap times, because unlike other teams we did not do a qualifying simulation. However, our race simulation in the afternoon went well."
“On the tire front, we noticed a lot of degradation here in Barcelona, but I think it will be different in Melbourne – he continued -. Overall the test went well and although we still have some work to do before the debut race, we have tested a lot of updates this week.”
“Our performance? We are certainly further ahead than last year, but compared to the others it is still difficult to make a judgment."he concluded.
