“It was a really good day today with no problems in both sessions. Considering how difficult winter testing was for us, I'm really happy with how we started this weekend. The whole team has worked very hard over the last few weeks and we have never lost our focus. The result is that we have made real progress since the last test in Bahrain. But it's only Friday, so we need to work hard tonight, looking at all the data we managed to collect today."

“This was definitely a good start to my first Grand Prix weekend. We didn't focus too much on performance, but we managed to get quite a few laps in, which was really important. I wasn't too sure what to expect from the tires, especially the soft ones. But we have gathered a lot of information and definitely have a better overview. There's a lot to discuss with the engineers this evening. Hopefully we can put it all together and be strong for the rest of the weekend."
