Toro Rosso STR7: the new F1 car from the Faenza team revealed

Here is the car of Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne

Scuderia Toro Rosso presented its new F1 car for the 2012 season, the Toro Rosso STR7, in Jerez.

As expected, the car also sports a stepped nose, a solution that is now common among this year's Formula 1 cars, McLaren aside.

Toro Rosso will be powered by Ferrari engines again this year while the drivers will be Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne.
“When we loaded the car on Saturday at 10.00 I wasn't convinced we would make it in time, there was so much snow, but we made it” declared team boss Franz Tost during the press conference.

“The STR7 is the third car designed, manufactured and assembled completely by Toro Rosso. We have invested a lot of money in the infrastructure and we hope that the results will come this season. The investments were only possible thanks to solid partners. Tomorrow we will drive the new car for the first time, it is always something very special. We have two new and capable drivers, and I am convinced that they will both do a good job. Last year we finished the championship in eighth place and this year we hope to do better, seventh or even better."

The new Toro Rosso STR7 will debut tomorrow with Daniel Ricciardo.
