Toro Rosso, Sainz pessimistic: "Singapore could be the last chance to finish in the points"

Having disappeared from the radar of the points zone for three races, Toro Rosso is facing a difficult crisis. Not only due to an obviously old engine (the 2015 Ferrari), but also due to problems with the chassis, which is no longer as effective as before. And if what would be the strong point of the single-seater designed by James Key is missing, then the situation becomes complicated.

Carlos Sainz he did not hide his pessimism and his fears: “We need to understand what's wrong. The engineers are working to understand what problems are slowing us down.". The risk is that the STR will slide inexorably to the rear:

“Singapore is a crucial match for us - Sainz said - We hope to be able to bring a competitive package to the track, because it could represent our last chance to finish in the points. We hope to find the right settings that will allow us to be competitive in other races too. If we fail to score points on this track too, then we expect to suffer for the rest of the races, at which point only rain could allow us to enter the top ten."
