Toro Rosso: Ricciardo “Tomorrow we can aim for ten”

Busy Friday in Spain for the Toro Rosso which was divided between preparation for the grand prix and testing the updated parts. The morning performance was particularly positive Jean-Eric Vergne, third, then ninth in the afternoon.

“I have to say that this was my best Friday in many, many races – he declared IS IN – It is encouraging even if there is still a lot to do and analyze to try to make further progress. I'm happy because the whole team has worked hard to be ready for this and the following events and apparently everything is going well including the tyres. We are definitely in better shape than the last few weekends."

“In general it was a positive day in which we demonstrated that we also have a good pace in the long runs – commented by Daniel Ricciardo, 11th in both rounds – In intermediate conditions like those encountered in FP1 we were always among the top three and even in FP2 in the dry we didn't do badly. It was very interesting to test the new parts and the different set-ups, they force you to change your driving style, but then you feel reassured when you see good results on the track. For tomorrow I expect a close fight and the possibility of entering the top 10."
