Toro Rosso, Ricciardo: “We could have done better”
The Australian driver closed the first two free practice sessions in 15th and 16th position
“We must try to learn from today's free practices; we have to keep in mind that the conditions could be very different when it really counts and that is on race Sunday."
So does the pilot Toro Rosso Daniel Ricciardo he commented on the 15th and 16th places obtained in the first two free practice sessions of the Brazilian GP on Friday.
“The two sessions could have gone better, but the conditions were not the most suitable for us this year – he continued -. However, we tried various different set-ups, dividing the work between me and Vergne to learn as much as possible."
“It will be a long night trying to evaluate everything and then see what the weather will be like in the next few days. From a performance point of view it would have been nice to do better, but in terms of knowledge of the car I think we gained a lot."he concluded.
His teammate Jean-Eric Vergne, however, finished free practice in 16th and 17th position respectively, just behind Ricciardo.
