Toro Rosso, Ricciardo: “We have the potential for Q3”
Vergne expects an eventful race due to tire wear
A few small hiccups slowed down an otherwise decent day of free practice for the Toro Rosso who found herself having to fight a lot in the second round.
“The morning went well even if we lacked a bit of speed. In the end, however, we made progress and managed to get closer to the top ten in the afternoon – he considered Daniel Ricciardo, 13th and 11th – Unfortunately during the last session I went wide at a chicane, went over the curb and damaged the car so I lost a good part of the session having to give up the long run. So I hope to be able to do one tomorrow. All in all I believe that the potential to enter Q3 is there."
“It was a mixed Friday, FP1 was ok, FP2 was a little worse where for some still unknown reason I lost two seconds per lap – he said Jean-Eric Vergne, 11th and 18th – The tire situation is interesting given that a lot of people suffered from graining, as did I too. At this point we can expect a more eventful race than that of 2012."
