Toro Rosso: Renault engines from 2014
The synergy between Red Bull and Renault is strengthened

Toro Rosso will be powered by Renault starting from the 2014 Formula 1 championship. The news was given in Monaco by Renault president Carlos Ghosn.
Both Red Bull teams will therefore be powered by Renault V6 turbos in 2014. For Toro Rosso, the agreement with Ferrari that began in 2007 will therefore come to an end at the end of the season.
“Strategically for Red Bull and Renault, it makes perfect sense for Toro Rosso to use the same engines as Red Bull Racing from 2014, which will allow us to continue to expand the synergies between Red Bull and Renault,” said the Red Bull team boss, Christian Horner.
