Toro Rosso, Kvyat: “Monza legendary track, always nice to come back”

Daniil Kvyat really appreciates the Italian GP, like almost all of his colleagues. The Russian driver has won various races in the preparatory categories, and finds Monza an interesting track from a technical point of view. The only worry is the Parabolica, which according to him has been ruined since they paved the escape route.

“Monza is a fast and interesting track. The braking at the first chicane is the longest and hardest of the entire championship. It reaches between 350 and 360 km/h, depending on where the wind is blowing… - explained the Toro Rosso driver - My favorite part of the track? Everywhere is faster than him! [Says with a laugh, pointing to Carlos]. I must say that it is a circuit where I have many good memories: in Monza I often won in the minor categories. I like the track, it's legendary, and it's always nice to come back. But I also have a negative memory, when I broke the brake disc in turn 1 in 2014... A shame, because we had a good race! As for the track, I have to say that they ruined the Parabolica corner, now that there is no gravel in the run-off area. It was much nicer with gravel rather than asphalt.”
