"We have the new package for this race, but there is no magic trick that allows you to put something on the car and immediately go faster. At the moment we are trying to understand what to do in terms of balance. It is undoubtedly better and now our task is to make the most of it. There is not enough time between sessions to analyze the data, so in the evening we will have a better picture. Overall it was a positive day and I think we can approach qualifying with confidence. Having a new teammate doesn't make me very happy, I'm driving my car! The team seems happy, they put in an excellent performance."

“I'm quite happy with my Friday, especially the morning session, when I had a good pace. In the second session, my lap time could have been better but I didn't have a clean lap with the soft tyres. I'm learning all the time. What's more difficult is entering the high-speed corners which I have to tackle much faster, but my confidence is growing with the kilometres. Every time I leave the garage I feel more and more at ease."
