Toro Rosso: Bourdais good, difficult day for Vettel

“This morning, I immediately got into a good rhythm, without any problems, and it was the same in the afternoon too. Which means I was able to travel around a lot and this is a first for me on a Friday. This makes me happy. It was also my first time on this track, which I find quite beautiful, even if the three slow corners are really slow and don't seem suitable for these cars. The asphalt conditions were definitely good, especially compared to what I expected in terms of sand and dirt on the track. They cleaned it very well and the fact that the wind dropped certainly helped. The wind should increase again tomorrow and Sunday, and this could create some surprises every time we enter the track."

“It was a tough day. On this track where there isn't much riding throughout the year, there's never much grip at the beginning. This morning, I found it very difficult to ride, while in the afternoon the situation improved a little, but we are still far from where we would like to be. To summarize the situation, we lack a bit of grip and are too slow. Honestly, I'm not sure what the right way to improve is, but I'm sure that will change after we analyze all the data before starting again tomorrow morning."
