Todt is critical of teams that complain in public
According to the FIA President, many lack the courage to intervene in the appropriate places
Repeatedly urged to intervene to help small teams caught in the grip of Ecclestone's exorbitant monetary demands Jean Todt he showed some annoyance.
“People expect the Federation to change the method of distribution of commercial rights but it's not our job – his outburst to Autosport – It's still frustrating to hear these complaints because if someone really didn't agree at the right time they had to intervene” .
“Without naming names, I recently took three/four people aside to point out how incorrect their attitude was – he continued – Silent during meetings and instead quite talkative with the press. I believe it is wrong not to put forward proposals and points of view in the places where they should be and to prefer the public stage."
Then regarding the costs of F1 he said: “A lot was done to lower them already in the Mosley era and in fact now we spend decidedly less than about ten years ago. Contracts were signed, some were satisfied, others less so. At that moment, however, everyone accepted."
