Todt: “21 races on the calendar? A privilege"
The FIA President responds to criticism of the busy 2016 calendar
Rather than complain, the staff involved in the Great Circus of F1 should feel proud to have such a busy calendar as 2016 will have.
This was stated during the Autosport International FIA President Jean Todt which thus instantly silenced those who had recently expressed negative opinions about the high number of races, lethal, in their opinion, for human relationships outside the paddock.
“Given what is happening in the world, those who work in the Circus should feel lucky when they wake up every morning” – his statement.
“In my opinion, participating in 21 world championship races like this year thanks to the entry of Azerbaijan is a privilege, so I don't understand the doubts expressed”.
Also during the event taking place in Birmingham, the Frenchman confirmed the start of an audit internal to the Federation and carried out by third parties to verify the correctness of the management system.
