Silverstone test, Sirotkin: “Day dedicated to development”
The Renault test driver ran on slick and wet tyres
After several months of absence he saw himself again in the Circus Sergey sirotkin. The Russian, currently involved in GP2, climbed into the Renault RS16 for the first day of testing at Silverstone, dedicating himself to data collection and some evaluations.
“It's always exciting to get into an F1 car! – reported the 20-year-old Muscovite, 10th with a best time of 1'36″575 and 48 laps completed – My work essentially concerned the procedures and development of the car with some new parts to test, so it was not I paid a lot of attention to the stopwatch. I was able to ride both in the dry and in the wet and this allowed me to verify the behavior of the slick, intermediate and full wet tires. It was a useful experience. It's just a shame about the rain."
For the closing on Wednesday it will be Jolyon Palmer to get behind the wheel.
