F1 Test | Racing Point, Perez: “The impressions of the new car are positive”

First day of testing also completed at Racing Point, with Sergio Perez bringing the new RP20 to its debut in official testing. It was the first time on the track for the new single-seater, which thus covered its first kilometers in Barcelona.

The RP20 focuses on a completely new philosophy to be able to get back on top and return to the results we were accustomed to before 2019. The first impressions are positive, as confirmed by one of the two drivers who had the opportunity to test the car today , Sergio Perez: “My impressions of the new car are positive. There is certainly still a lot to do, but it is certainly a promising start. We spent the morning learning new details about the car and doing lots of aerodynamic testing with fast lap runs. Completing as many kilometers as possible with this car is really important, especially with the reduced amount of test available, we have already got good information for the engineers. We hope we can improve in the next few days,” the Mexican said in interviews.
