F1 test in Barcelona, ​​third day: Alonso jumps to the top of the morning standings

Hulkenberg and Grosjean follow, Webber eighth

Fernando Alonso was the fastest driver of the morning. The Spaniard took the lead in the standings with a time of 1.21.875 obtained on soft compound tyres.

Second, about three tenths behind, Niko Hulkenberg. He also did his best lap on soft tyres.

Romain Grosjean instead obtained third position with his E21 while Mercedes concentrated mainly on data collection. Much time was therefore spent inside the garage however Rosberg was able to climb up to fourth place.

Pastor Maldonado, in fifth position, was the one who completed the most laps, 79 for him. In the afternoon, the Venezuelan will have to hand over the car to his teammate, Valtteri Bottas.

Force India saw the return of Adrian Sutil to the track. The German put a lot of effort into completing the various points of the daily program starting with some aerodynamic tests.

A quiet start to the session for Mark Webber who is currently in eighth place, more than a second from the top.

There are no particular events to report, the first part of the session took place regularly and no red flags were displayed.
