F1 test in Barcelona: Hamilton first on the fourth day of testing

Lewis Hamilton remained at the top of the day's standings with a time of 1.23.282. This was achieved in the morning when the rain stopped falling and then became the protagonist in the afternoon.

In addition to slowdowns due to weather conditions, the teams had to deal with the eight red flags displayed during the session which certainly prevented the smooth running of each team's program.

In the afternoon section there were no major changes to the time classification. In second place we find Jenson Button followed by Vergne, Bianchi and Gutierrez. The latter was one of the most active drivers, completing a total of 96 laps.

In sixth position Giedo van der Garde trailed Felipe Massa by about a tenth, followed by Mark Webber, Max Chilton and Romain Grosjean completing the top ten positions.

The two Williams drivers, Pastor Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas, who took turns during the session, set 36 laps, none of which were timed.

The third and final session of winter testing will take place next week in Barcelona from 28 February to 3 March.
