Test at Portimao, second day: Buemi still in the lead

Best time for Sebastien Buemi also on the second day of testing at Portimao. Scuderia Toro Rosso is continuing to run with its 2008 car, albeit with the load levels of 2009 and Buemi's best time was more than three seconds better than that of de la Rosa, who was second today with the new McLaren Mercedes MP4-24, on a day that started on a wet track, then dried around lunchtime and was still affected by a heavy downpour of rain.

The times were really insignificant, with the tester from the Woking team leading by almost five seconds over Jarno Trulli's Toyota who tested the new TF109 for the first time. Fourth time for Nelson Piquet with the Renault R29 who, however, did little lap time due to an engine problem that the team did not resolve in a short time. Last time for Nico Rosberg with the Williams FW31.
