Fernando Alonso achieved the best time on the third day of testing in Barcelona. The Renault Spaniard lapped in 1.18.483 just before the lunch break, on slick tyres. Michael Schumacher returned to the wheel of the Ferrari, setting the second fastest time and evaluating the different types of Bridgestone slick tires with an F2008 modified to simulate the downforce levels expected for next season.

Third time for Adrian Sutil, confirming Force India's progress. The German achieved his best time on slick tires and an aerodynamic package, after losing time in the morning due to a clutch problem.
