Test in Barcelona, third day: Button in the lead with the Brawn GP
Jenson Button demonstrated the potential of the new Brawn GP again today. On the third day of collective testing of the F1 teams in Barcelona the Englishman achieved the best time with 1.19.127, a full second ahead of Felipe Massa's Ferrari. Button completed 130 laps, only Timo Glock (Toyota) and Sebastien Buemi (Toro Rosso) covered a greater distance.
Button was also fast on the first day before dropping to fourth at the end of the day while his teammate, Rubens Barrichello, set the third fastest time yesterday.
Today Robert Kubica finished third behind Massa, third with BMW Sauber. Glock and Fernando Alonso's Renault complete the top 5.
McLaren's apparent difficulties continued today with world champion Lewis Hamilton tenth at the rear of the group. The Englishman also ended up in the gravel in the afternoon.
