Taffin: “Positive ahead of Spain and Monte Carlo”
For the Renault manager, the lower power required could help
The next events on the calendar could narrow the gap between the motorized single-seaters Mercedes and those Renault.
The French manufacturer's track operations manager is quite certain of this Remy Taffin.
“I can't say I'm optimistic, but it's right to recognize that Barcelona and Monte Carlo don't require a lot of power although the correct functioning of the power unit and reliability remain fundamental – he reported to Autosport – Before Canada there will be further interventions both in terms of software, and hardware to improve performance and I believe that by managing to unlock those aspects that still cause problems, good results will be achieved, always with an eye on the fuel part which I believe will become crucial over the course of the season".
